Brian Pugh for Croton Village Mayor

A dedicated native of Croton, Brian Pugh has served as Mayor of the Village since December 2017, after serving as a Village Trustee from 2014 to 2017. During Brian’s leadership as Mayor, Croton-on-Hudson earned the highest Clean Energy rating of any community in New York State for its work to increase renewable energy and reduce pollution. In addition to sustainability, Brian has championed controlling property taxes, increasing affordability, and investing in infrastructure, including the Croton Point Avenue Improvement Project. Brian is a graduate of Oberlin College and Fordham School of Law.

Nora Nicholson for Croton Village Trustee

Nora Moriarty Nicholson has served as a Trustee on the Village Board since her appointment to fill a vacant seat in December 2022. Nora grew up in Croton and attended Croton-Harmon Schools before moving away. After living in California for several years, she and her husband, along with their two daughters, moved back to Croton in 2021. She brought with her extensive professional experience and a deep commitment to serving her community. Nora began her career in corporate retail before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, where she found her true passion in public service. She currently serves as the Director of External Affairs at the Westchester Children’s Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany and a Master of Public Administration from San Francisco State University.

Karen Pecora for Croton Village Trustee

Karen Pecora is a first-time candidate to represent the Village of Croton. In 2022, she retired from the Westchester County Department of Social Services after 32 years of service as the secretary for the Director of Child Welfare. For 16 of those years, she served as President and Vice President of her union, Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), leading contract negotiations and representing the interests of thousands of members. She currently sits on the Village’s Recreation Advisory Committee and the Westchester County Council for Seniors.
