To the Editor,

I was happy to be able to cast my vote earlier this month in support of the special permit for a new mixed-use occupancy building to be located at the corner of Benedict Blvd. and South Riverside, formerly Nappy’s.

A combination of studios and one bedroom apartments, along with first floor commercial space, will take the place of dilapidated and empty garage that has occupied the site for years.

This building is a direct result of the successful rezoning of the Harmon commercial area a few years ago, a measure I actively supported. It exemplifies the new interest and excitement in this area of the Village.
